#INTENTION

THOUGHTS. MEDITATION. SELF-MASTERY.

Unless I have enough personal power to keep commitments in my daily life, I will be unable to wield magical power. To work magic, I need a basic belief in my ability to do things and cause things to happen. That belief is generated and sustained by my daily actions.

It's All In Your Mind

Let’s talk about our daily thoughts and actions. Imagine that everything you think and do on a daily basis, acts as a micro spell that in turn affects you and your life. That might sound a bit intense but really it’s just about developing a practice of mindfulness towards all the little things that make up your day.

When you begin to tap into your magic, you realize that everything has a vibration, frequency and spirit. The plants, animals, your home, clothes, music, earth herself, and of course, all of us! You know what else carries energy?…….you guessed it, .our thoughts and our actions.

The most powerful and practical kind of magic is one that works with clear intention. Intention is the why, the meaning, purpose and the will that gives energy to your thoughts and actions.

When we invite intention into our daily ritual, we find ourselves living more presently and meaningfully. You could say that intention is the food that nourishes and gives energy to your magic.

Intention is a choice, it is about switching from reacting to responding to any situation you are in. All you have to do is look at your life and you will be able to see what kind of intentions you have been setting. I’m sure we can all agree that nothing good has ever come from anything planned with bad intent. Though it may have provided an opportunity of growth through a “what not to do” situation, if you want something good to come your way, then you have to put good intent into what you do. Understanding and believing that you have the power to shape and shift your life is the fundamental base of magic.

So how can you start implementing intention into your daily life? Below you will find a couple examples including how to place intention into using technology daily by making your phone and altar. You will also find the energies of each day of the week and learn how to align yourself through intention to each days ruling properties. Remember that the most rewarding magic is the one that resonates for you. Some of our witch sisters place intention of self love by writing empowering quotes on the bathroom mirror and repeating them three times each day. You could also choose to place an intention in your tea or coffee in the morning for strength, ease and grace for the coming of a busy work day. Its as simple as that! What feels good for you is the best way!

TECH INTENTION

How can we work with intention to transform our relationship with technology? Although present awareness is where the most potent magic lies, the phone has become a part of our daily ritual. But just like any other tool, it is up to us to wield its power to empower ourselves or to distract us.

How can we use the wallpaper on our phone as an altar or vision board?

By surrounding ourselves with imagery and symbols that remind and empower our intentions, we can work with our conscious and subconscious will to bring to fruition our highest manifestations.

Right now for example, I’m working with the goddess of prosperity, Lakshmi to reflect to me every time I look at my phone the prosperity, grace and abundance that flows to me, through me and outwardly into the earth around me.

♀ What imagery is on your background that empowers you on a daily basis? ♀

DAYS OF THE WEEK

The power of Intention was made very clear to me when I began to align myself with the energetic influences of each day of the week. What does this mean? It means, that on Friday for example, if we engage in any kind of romantic activities, we have more chances to succeed. Why? Because Friday is ruled by Venus, or Freya the goddess of love and beauty. In the same manner, if we go for a job interview on Wednesday we will probably be more confident in our speech because Wednesday is ruled by Mercury the planet of communication. Below you will find a break down of each day of the week and attributes like goddess, planet, color or scent that can inspire you to honor, enhance and align to that energy.

By incorporating awareness of the energy ruling over the day, you can be more in tune and intentional with everything from the color of your outfit to what you choose to do or think about on that day.

Remember to have fun with it and make it your own!

The sun represents the Self and rules the life force. It is symbolized by the unbroken circle that is the soul with a dot in the center to represent the spark of life. The energy of the Sun is stimulating and warm. It encourages growth and expansion as well as general good feelings all around. It may be used for magick related to the growth of anything; career, family, wealth, the garden, friendships, love, general abundance, business. Because the Sun shines down on the whole world, and thus sees everything that happens, the Sun’s planetary energy is occasionally used to find objects as well as protecting us from deception or being “kept in the dark”. Looking at the Sun’s universality in a different way, this energy can be used to find a common thread (we’re all warmed by the same Sun) to encourage new friendships and partnerships and reconciliation where existing ones are threatened. ☀️❤️✌🏼

Thor is known as the God of strength and thunder in Norse mythology, Jupiter ( Zeus ) in Roman Mythology. Thor is considered the strongest of all the Gods and looked to as a protector and defender, for the gods and of mankind. Thor represents the cultivation of the body. Physical strength is just as important as mental strength; In the Viking age, those who combined the characteristics of Thor with those of Odin (Mind/ Knowledge) were the most revered and fulfilled. They could recite poetry and engage in “battles” of words and rhyme, but could also maneuver a hefty battle axe and willingly sacrifice themselves for their family and community. Freya is the Norse goddess of love, fertility, beauty, war, sexuality, death, magic and fine material possessions. Freya is the archetype of the völva, a practitioner of seidr, the most organized form of Norse magic. Love is her primary motivation, and a deep, abiding sense of the beauty of all things is the core of her nature. She encourages self-awareness and self-worth regarding our own beauty and sexuality. While calling on the goddess to assist you with unconditional love, stand naked in front of a mirror, repeating compliments and basking in the acknowledgment of your own beauty. Accepting the perfection that is you in this moment, and as she guides you word by word in the act of learning to admire yourself, thank the goddess for her reflections upon you.🍓🌸
